Prof. Dr. S.S. Iyengar

Prof. Dr. S.S. Iyengar is a globally renowned expert in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and digital forensics. He is currently the Distinguished University Professor, Founding Director of the Discovery Lab, and Director of the U.S. Army-funded Center of Excellence in Digital Forensics at Florida International University, Miami. He also holds the Distinguished Chaired Professorship at the National Forensic Sciences University, India.

Recognized as the Founding Father of AI Science in Digital Forensics by the Soft Computing Research Society in 2025, Dr. Iyengar has received numerous prestigious honors, including the 2025 Distinguished Career Award in Computer Science, Fellow of the Washington Academy of Sciences, and the 2023 Karnataka Rajyotsava Award, one of Karnataka's highest civilian honors.

He earned his Ph.D. from Mississippi State University, USA, in 1974 and has supervised more than 65 Ph.D. scholars and numerous postdoctoral researchers. Dr. Iyengar has authored or co-authored over 600 research publications, written or edited 32 books, and holds several patents. His pioneering Brooks–Iyengar Algorithm has received over 138,000 citations (h-index: 68) and is widely implemented in academia and industry. His remarkable contributions are further recognized through the Springer book Fundamentals of Brooks–Iyengar Distributed Sensing Algorithm, published in 2020.

Dr. Sathya Babu holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science & Engineering from the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Rourkela, where his doctoral research focused on Utility-based Privacy Preserving Data Publishing. He also earned his M.Tech. from NIT Rourkela with specialization in Detection of Malicious Transactions in Database Management Systems and completed his B.Tech. from MVGR College of Engineering, Vizianagaram.

His areas of expertise span several cutting-edge domains, including Natural Language Processing, Sentiment and Emotion Analysis, Recommender Systems, Big Data Analytics, Privacy in Location-based Systems, and Time-series Prediction. He has supervised several Ph.D. scholars and has contributed extensively to research projects funded by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Imprint India, and industry partners, with applications ranging from AI-driven auto-responders to intelligent surveillance systems for smart cities.

Dr. Sathya Babu has published extensively in reputed international journals and conferences, and his research continues to contribute significantly to both academia and industry. His professional journey includes distinguished teaching and research assignments at NIT Rourkela, IIT Bhubaneswar, and currently at IIITDM Kurnool, where he actively pursues research and innovation in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science.

Dr. Francisco Falcone is a full professor in the Department of Electrical, Electronics, and Communications at the Public University of Navarra (UPNA), Spain. He also leads the Institute for Smart Cities at UPNA. He collaborates with several universities in Spain, including the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia, URV, and University of Deusto, as well as international institutions such as the Fraunhofer Institute for High Frequency Physics and Radar Techniques (FHR) in Germany, the University of Massachusetts, and the University of Calgary.

Dr. Falcone has extensive professional experience as a microwave commissioning engineer at Siemens-Italtel and a radio network engineer at Telefónica Móviles. He was previously a director and is currently a partner at Tafco Metawireless.

His experience and research are in the area of applied and computational electromagnetics, with a focus on radio network design and optimization; the design of novel electromagnetic devices and structures in the MW and THz range; electromagnetic bandgap and metamaterial structures; and the simulation and analysis of complex electromagnetic scenarios using hybrid simulation techniques.

His research interests also include dosimetric analysis, ambient intelligence for cognitive cities, joint communication and sensing, wireless systems, and wireless sensor networks, including interference analysis and volumetric energy consumption profile estimation.

Dr. Francisco Falcone joined Tecnológico de Monterrey as a Distinguished Visiting Professor in Telecommunications for the School of Engineering and Sciences.
